Critical Infrastructure Security
Prior to September 11, Critical Infrastructure Security (CIS) was
more of a theory than a reality. Since its formation, the U.S. Department
of Homeland Security has made CIS a key focal point of its national
and global strategies.
Critical infrastructures are the physical and cyber-based facilities,
systems, and networks needed to operate organizations, companies,
municipalities, and governments. These assets, if lost or disrupted,
could adversely affect our economy or endanger our well-being. They
include banking and financial institutions, energy and utility facilities,
telecommunications networks, schools, water supply systems, transportation
infrastructures, government and industrial complexes, and the Internet.
Historically, these infrastructures have been separate and mostly
unrelated. However, with today's security and economic concerns, they
need automated and integrated monitoring, management, and control.
Seenex provides the CIS platform to enable the utmost protection of
these assets that are so essential to the nation's security, governance,
public health and safety, economy, and public confidence.
